S'pore is world's 2nd most competitive nation, after US

Singapore maintained its position as 2nd most competitive nation as US topped world competitiveness rankings for the 15th straight year.
With its economy showing the signs of weakness and the sub-prime crisis, it will be interesting to see next year's findings, as US economic health is vulnerable at the moment, because of its heavy reliance on the financial sector for corporate profits.
